If you haven't played the hit board game Ransom Notes yet, it's pretty simple — you compete to answer a ridiculous prompt with word magnets.

1) Hilariously terrible sentences, no matter how good of a writer you are
You have to answer the prompts using only your limited supply of word magnets, so even master wordsmiths end up creating awful, laugh-out-loud strings of words.

2) Learn to play in one minute
We haven't even explained the rules, and guaranteed you already know how to play. There are a few nuances in the instructions, but you can explain this game to a brand new group and have them playing their first round in no time.

Unlike some other popular party games (Cards Against Humanity, cough cough), you actually get to be creative in this game. Yes, the prompts are funny, but the real hilarious part is seeing what your friends come up with — it's always the shy people that end up being the funniest!

5) Endlessly replayable — never see the same sentence twice.
You play with a unique pool of word magnets each round, so even if you see the same prompt (unlikely, since the game comes with 250 cards), you'll always be answering it with different words in new, absurd ways.

6) Never sit out when it's your turn to be the "Judge"
Having to sit out a round just to be the Judge of these types of games can be a bummer. Not with Ransom Notes! The creators tweaked the gameplay a bit, so everyone plays every round — details in the instructions!
